In this assignment I chose to take photos of Light Painting. In order to acheive the light painting effect you need to be in a dark room and have a low ISO, a very long shutter speed, and a f/5.6 aperture. I decided to take my photos in the basement of my house. My sister and I changed roles of being the subject of the shot and doing the dirty work of painting the light. In this assignment I learned that inorder to acheive a cool effect of light painting you need to vary the brightness of the lights and adjust your shutter speed. I hope you enjoy my light painting photos.

In this photo the only editing I did is I croped the disco ball to the left bottom third of the screen and darkened the blacks and raised the saturation in camera raw.
